Round-oval cabochon with very deep 6.9mm dome for 9.8 × 8.3mm spread that is carrying the star. The inside images reveal significant golden-brown "treacle" inclusion patterns concentrated in the center and lower dome, visible from the bottom view under backlit 20×.

These treacle inclusions are natural iron-titanium oxide concentrations typical of Ceylon star sapphire.

The rutile silk is present but the heavy treacle patterning may slightly diffuse the star's sharpness.
