Formed over 500 millon years ago, commercial mining in Zambia started only in the 1970s and our emeralds are all mined in the 1970s where mining was more environmentally friendly and less risky for miners in open pits, not in deep dangerous holes.
Emeralds symbolize foresight, truth, eloquence, and protection. Legends say they could cure diseases and reveal a lover’s honesty.
